Barrel Attach
Shooting the orange into the PC monitor left me primed for action. I had two oranges left, but what to shoot? Hey, there is a 55 gal. steel barrel in the shed. It has been there for years and never used. I wonder if the orange with go through that! I set it up and fired. I aimed close to the top so there would be plenty of barrel left, undamaged, for later test. The orange hit making a big dent.

Notice all the orange parts shooting off to the right (above)
Several frames later the barrel is falling over with the big dent (below)

The dent was no surprise but the lip of the barrel was really bent, making a gap and a leak (below)

Next I shot it right in the end. That made a big dent too but was not great as far as photos go. The can is a standard bean can to show how deep the dent is (below).

If I want a hole in the barrel I will have to get serious. I filled the barrel with water and fired a can of concrete into it. It made a hole and turned the concave top of the barrel into a convex top. And it was not even sealed or completely full! The barrel rocked back from the impact causing the front of the bottom to come about 6" off the ground.

Much better!
Patrick pointed out the the can of concrete may have hit the inside of the lid knocking it out. I thought the water pressure did it but the more the thought about it the more I thought it may be possible. I went back and checked it and he was right. The was a big mark on the inside of the end of the barrel. On top of the there was a dent in the far side of the barrel where it hit. See photo below.
